About High Plains and Wyoming High School Nordic Skiing
High Plains Cross-Country Ski District represents Wyoming and western South Dakota and is part of the USSA Intermountain Division. Youth nordic skiers 14 to 19 years old can compete to qualify for the Junior Olympic National Ski Competition. The USSA Junior Olympic Qualifier (JOQ) Races are held in conjunction with the Wyoming High School races.
Wyoming High School Nordic Skiing involves seven high schools across the state. Boys & Girls teams from each of the following high schools compete through the WHSAA :

- Jackson Hole High School
- Kelly Walsh High School, Casper
- Lander Valley High School
- Laramie High School
- Natrona County High School, Casper
- Pinedale High School
